Winnipeg is quite impressive! I had no idea. How big is Winnipeg, population wise?
Winnipeg looks really nice. You've amassed a great collection of photos. Is Winnipeg on track to be the next million person city in Canada?
Winnipeg has a metro population of about 840,000 people . Yes it was on track to hit a million people next , pre pandemic , but still should be next to the million people cities in Canada
Thanks for the tour! Looks to be a great deal of high quality public spaces in Winnipeg.
Winnipeg looks very impressive
very nice pics --
i liked the half sunken streetcar sculpture -- a powerful editorial for all! |
I recently watched Guy Maddin's "My Winnipeg" and now I see your wonderful post. I need to visit soon!

The street car sculpture is a piece commemorating the 1919 General Strike that engulfed the city. This famous photo in which a street car was overturned and set afire, was the inspiration behind the sculpture. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...nipeg_1919.jpg |
Awesome photos!
looks majestic! I love every detail of the structure
Winnipeg was the "gateway to the west" and was the third largest city in Canada in the 1911 and 1921 censuses. For most of the early 20th century, Winnipeg and Vancouver were pretty close in size (Van really pulled ahead from WWII on).
great set. can't wait to see what changes 2021 brings with all the construction that's still going on and what's to come :D
Nice pictures! Winnipeg is actually on my list of Canadian cities to visit.
The most underrated city in Canada.
