Oh man, that last pic tells quite a story. You've got 270 Park being dismantled in the background, and the real estate tidal wave that will follow outward as the Midtown rezoning is realized. Meanwhile, that brick mid-rise between this project and H&M, with the flexibility of a 30-story party wall for your design...tear the bitch down and replace it! :P:cheers:
589 5th Avenue needs to go. Its the site with the H&M.

I hate the setback on this one. Fix this, city!!!
The setback here (and in any other cheap construction, sadly centered around Midtown) should never have been allowed by a self-respecting city, developer or 'architect' behind this structure.
Short in height, so the damage can't be seen (for the most part) amidst the Midtown mass. But from the ground level, serious damage can occur to ones sense of well being and quite frankly, mental state. But what they do give are budget hotels, and with NYC's endless, ever increasing hordes of slow walking tourists that stop on a dime when folks are walking, the demand is there.
