Are these skycrapers on the Canadian side or America side?

youngregina Jan 24, 2009 5:26 PM

I think the first two pics of of the canadian side, the latter of the American. Canada dominates the falls skylines.

Nicko999 Jan 24, 2009 5:52 PM

Yea, the American skyline is almost inexistant compared to the Canadian one. Even the falls are better on the Canadian side.

Charlottetown, PEI

Since SSP doesn't have a "true" Islander on the forum and the area isn't represented well here are some pictures I found of Charlotteotown;

Note: According to the Charlottetown thread there is a new ten storey building now starting construction somewheres downtown near the convention centre.

That last Niagara Falls picture is in Canada. It's the northern end of the tourist area.

This is the US side:

That old building is vacant. :(

Pic taken today by me.

You know, in Thunder Bay, you can get pictures of the skylines from within 150m of them. :)

koops65 Feb 16, 2009 2:26 AM

The pic above was taken approx. 6km away from downtown.

I think Niagara Falls, Ont. should be very proud of it's skyline. It is more impressive than many other Canadian cities skylines.

It's higher, sure. But my apartment has more architectural integrity than that place, and it has a false front!

Perhaps, but I was referring to height. For a city of less than 100K, it's impressive nonetheless.

bah that light pole annoys me...I took the effort to clone it out...no offence to d40, just a couple tweaks.

I used to live just outside Bedford and would regularly see that house on the little island.

Here's a summer picture taken a couple years ago of the same island, with Halifax off in the distance (the cranes are the Fairview terminal):

Big pano I made from the top of a hill nearby:

I used to live just outside Bedford and would regularly see that house on the little island. The whole area is very scenic, along with Fall River on the one side and Hammonds Plains/St. Margaret's Bay on the other. I've never fully photographed those places, but will eventually.

^I live on top of that hill. :)

Eagle's Rock (where the last one was taken) is actually in my backyard. Unfortunately I've never been able to get a panorama seeing that I dont have any software to make it but I do have some nice pictures from last summer.

If you ever check my flickr accounts ("dmajackson10@yahoo.ca" and "eaglewood_dj@yahoo.ca") its very easy to tell I am addicted to taking pictures in this town!
