Markham, then. Burnaby is like Markham. A part of a larger city, separated only by the limits of a local government. It is not separate.

You opened the post mentioning Prince Albert and didn't specify that all but the first picture was Saskatoon.

Another way of looking at it could be "would X city exist without Y city spilling over its boundaries?" If the answer is yes, and it's less than 500,000, it's part of this thread. If the answer is no, it's in the other one.

Canada needs about 10 more cities in the 500,000 range. Real ones not growing suburbs.

I realize we lack big cities in this country when I always see the same 3-4 cities in the photo threads. It's too bad we get very few pictures of Regina, Saskatoon, only a couples of Winnipeg, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa and Hamilton, none of Windsor, St.John('s), Sudbury, some obscure cities in Quebec and Ontario and many others. Next week I might spend 1 or 2 days in Quebec City and Lévis so I can bring some pictures of the city (and not only the old city) for a change :D

Lol we Haligonians try to take photos but they get drowned in all the others posted on these two threads.

We never hear about Quebec City. It just sits there, quiet and French.

Parksville BC, the next town north of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Population 12,000. Mount Arrowsmith is seen in this photo. The mountain is sometimes seen in Vancouver skyline photos taken from Burnaby mountain.

Here's Corner Brook NL, metro population ~25,000, and definitely not part of a larger metro, although more of a pano than a skyline.

OK Londoners, somebody take a photo of downtown from Riverside Dr., just above Wharncliffe Rd. That's the ultimate beauty shot and a hands-down winner.

Don't make me come back and do it myself because I'll spend all of my time between the Runt Club and Call The Office.. and I'll never make it up Riverside!
