Very nice! I'm excited to see Virginia Beach boom! I used to go every summer but haven't been in a while. It's a fantastic town. Would love to see more taller hotel/apartment/condo towers lining the water front.

Finally, in DC, there is hundred of millions of dollars of development around most of our metro-rail stations. Passenger rail, including light rail, is a very effective economic catalyst. |

Crazy to think I started this thread when I was 15 now I'm 24. The oceanfront has experienced serious infill midrise projects , and on the beach , a few 20+ story hotels have went up. In town center , Pembroke mall has been stripped to make way for more additions on the fringe of the property. I'll make sure to take some pictures next time I'm out there .
|
I was hoping Pembroke Mall would be demolished and then extend Downtown into that area with a street grid, city blocks and highrises with ground floor retail.
