First Floorplan for the 'World's Skinniest Skyscraper,' Revealed

There's also a rendering of the view from way up there…" http://cdn.cstatic.net/images/gridfs...ial%20View.jpg |

Only 45 apartments and over 1,400 ft.? Sounds good to me. The floorplans look pretty impressive, and nice to see they're starting to release the layouts and marketing materials.
These apartments will be enormous. I assume these will be more expensive than 432 Park. Obviously with the building so skinny, you assume the units are small, but the opposite is true, because these are all full-floors, at a minimum. |

It's a joke. Relax. I love the floor plans, this tower is going to be quite amazing. I'll have a great view from my job just like I did with 0ne57. Can't wait for the rising to begin! |

Anyway, this is turning out to be even more fantastic a design than thought. I demand to see more of it. |
This is a very nice looking tower. Very skinny too. :)

Here's a sweet and handy guide using those cityrealty renders...

I love how 1 Vanderbilt completely dwarfs the Chrysler Building in that last view. It's kinda like how the nearby MetLife building completely dominates the Helmsley Building when you look down at them on Park Ave.

Went by the site yesterday. Pretty loud work, but out of view.

One of my top 5 supertalls going up in Manhattan Island but still it looks like it could topple over due to climate change (stronger winds etc...)
/shudders |
Thats all factored in when designing/engineering a structure (even earthquakes as well). I wouldn't worry. The PSI in this tower will be incredibly high.
