I'm seeing YOWORD and YOWIAD on some fake bookings throughout July and beyond. :shrug:

Woops! I was using United advanced search and limiting to nonstop, but had chosen August by mistake (still showing for now) not July. Then I checked google flights and also filtered by nonstop, and results were showing daily for July (thus my post) but I didn't notice that the fares are for "sale" by Air Canada, not United, so in actuality non existent.

Doing a fake booking on United from Halifax.....I see one a day nonstop to ORD and 3/day nonstop to EWR in August. Until then.....everything is a connection via YYZ
AA also has a nonstop to PHL showing for August. Nothing on Delta yet to LGA...or AC to BOS. |
Based on American's July schedule, in YYC they will jump from a single daily to DFW on a E75 to twice daily DFW on a 738, and resume ORD 1x daily E75. That is quite a jump in capacity. They will continue to be YYC's largest carrier.

AA’s July schedule will most likely not operate as planned. I highly doubt you will see them running YQB or even YHZ service.
Honestly, any schedule update that doesn’t pertain to the current month we are in shouldn’t be trusted. |
Here's an airside photo of the newly expanded central section of the YHZ terminal. The building has been extended onto the apron, creating space for a double-height departures area and new restaurants/shops on the upper level, while the security screening area has been expanded on the ground floor.

Anyone care to hazard a guess on the odds Transat resumes operations on June 30th? It would seem very unlikely to me but I have not heard squat even in the rumor mill. My sister is currently booked to fly them in mid July and it's getting close to having to make a decision as to whether to rebook with AC or WestJet.

Speaking of Transat, seems Air Canada wants the federal government to block the purchase as it awaits a final decision from Transport Minister Marc Garneau. Of the 3 major airports that reported April stats, all were essentially the same level of decline (YVR down 96.7%, YYC down 95.2%, YYZ down 96.9%). One very interesting item was YYC had more domestic pax than YYZ in April. YYC had 65,713 and YYZ had 64,449. I don't know if that has ever happened, probably not? YYC had nearly 100% declines in international and transborder, while YVR and YYZ had slightly less decline in those sectors, maintaining slightly international services. But still, its splitting hairs at this point, the traffic isn't even relevant when declines are all over 95%! It was the YYC being higher than YYZ in dom pax that really was bizarre, shows how crazy things were in April. May and June should show a slow crawl out of the depths of April, but will still be horrendous :(

^YYC will likely bottom out in May, as they saw further domestic cuts and no international flights, and only 12 weekly US flights.
Also I just read that Canada/US will very likely be extended through July so I wouldn't count on many of those Transborder increases that were planned on happening. I'll be curious to see if WS still goes ahead with it's planned Transborder resumption later this month. Perhaps that what they've been waiting for before published it's revised July schedule? On that note, WestJet's sixth 787 (Reg: C-GMKS) has finally come off final assembly this week and went for some test flights in CHS.
