Crazy to think that just a few short years ago, One57 was the peak in the Central Park skyline view by a significant margin only a few short years ago.

Since it's almost complete, how amazing would it be if an identical twin went up on the lot to the west of Steinway that they weren't able to procure. They could even connect after 300 feet or so. The side walls almost have no windows anyways so it's not totally farfetched.

I spent last weekend in New York, haven't been since last April. I got to see the amount of progress made on this building. I like it much more in real life than I do in the renderings. Honestly, I hated it at first. But now it's starting to grow on me.

Looks like its almost topped out. Like 98%.

Am I mistaken or has the crane been in the same position now for a couple of weeks and the top steel we are seeing has also remained unchanged for the last couple weeks?

Pics by me. Taken today/ mid Saturday from a far.
You can see how absurdly thin 111 W 57th is. Also note how the ESB is becoming average in height. Doesn't have the dominance as much, especially from a far. https://aws1.discourse-cdn.com/busin...921fd9228.jpeg https://aws1.discourse-cdn.com/busin...29a922d03.jpeg |
