Still play with SU sometimes
Just to prove that I do. I've made a bunch of models that are meant to fit into Fort Worth, where I spend most of my time now.
Office tower in DT FW http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps25048fe6.png Bike rack I made for a local contest to design one. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps09206059.png Buildings http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/kRESSLOT.jpg More lowrises http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...5555/new10.png http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...5555/new11.png Condo highrise http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps9c520abb.png fictional W Hotel and residence http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/...ortworth00.jpg Also- reading through most of my old post is embarrassing. Using the internet before puberty is a terrible idea. How's everyone been? |
Your buildings look nice:)

There's some good elements in all of them, but my favorites are the last two high-rises, especially the W Hotel and Residences. I like how well the base works with its neighbour and how it works with the shaft. But what I like most is the tower itself and its crown. The facade and the shape is pretty basic, but that's exactly what makes it looks so good to me.
Glad you're still playing with SU! |
The W is kinda several of my favorite buildings combined really, it's not to original.
The base is based on The Austonian, and the big W is directly a ripoff the the W Philippines hotel. The crown is reminiscent of a recent tower somewhere in Canada. Can't really remember much what or where it is. The Condo highness is much more original, it's vaguely based on Austin's Four Seasons. I like it more for that reason. |
Wow, pretty realistic designs, I especially like the lowrises.
|
Glad to see your still using sketchup Austin because you do have a talent for it. Those lowrises are sexy!
Now hopefully you can maybe make a city out of these models ;) |
The W hotel and residences looks a lot like Le V in Montreal :3
