So 1,397ft to the highest occupied floor!! Since this tower has a huge crown it could very well break the 1,500' mark!

Also it's 80 floors now, which most certainly is an indicator for a height increase.

Amenity Space – 7 & 8
Duplex Apartments – 57th & 64 to 71
Quadplex Apartment – 72 - 75
Mechanical / Machine Room: 76 - 79

Wow, so 111 W.57 will likely be taller than 432 Park? Interesting.

I thought they would both be around 1,400 ft, but this is very promising.

It is very likely that 111W breaks the 1,500ft mark since the tower has a huge crown. Remember One57? DOB listed it as a 905ft / 276m tall building. And it ended up exactly 100 feet taller.

If you click on the Stop Work Order it says "resolved", so I think its a non-issue. I'm looking forward to this building being approved and start rising, so far it has been such a tease.

it looks like it might fall over if it got any taller.

Look at that huge crown!! I'm telling you guys, this could be a 1,500+ footer! Mass damper ist located at floor 80.

And just a fraction of the width. This building will make even 432 Park look fat.

I don't see how this building is any less than 1,500 ft., given that previous screenshot of the crown, and the official DOB filing showing 1,397 ft. to top floor.

According to the CTBUH the highest occupied floor of One57 is at 903'.

It would be so cool if 111W ends up 1,500ft+. But a solid 1,400 footer isn't that bad either. :D

I think that may be the actual height. DOB permits don't always list by highest occupied floor, sometimes it's the actual height. Anyway, 1,397 ft is the figure that's been floated around for a while now, so it may be accurate.

The difference in floor count is merely what is counted as a floor. DOB has different criteria.

Of course, I would love to be proven wrong. But I don't think so. Besides, the building is tall and thin enough already.

What really stands out though is the relatively small number of units that will be available.

hunser Nov 8, 2014 2:22 AM

^ Yeah, 1,500ft would be really pushing it. Maybe that glassy, thick spire, i.e.crown, counts as a solid structure. Nevertheless it would be the most epic trolling ever: exactly the same height as 432 PA. :haha::haha:

I thought 432 is one foot lower at 1396ft.

432 is 1398 ft (well technically 1397 ft, 6 inches per DOB filings)

I think it would be officially 1 ft higher, sort of like Freedom tower vs Nordstrom tower.

Sombody needs to build something with some breathing room, to truly capture the title.

But my mind keeps going to how few units will be in this building, vs. a building like Silverstein's planned 520 w 41st. This will truly be an exclusive tower, barely putting a dent in the market.
