Hi we need a thread dedicated to nature. Although I love taking pictures of construction and architecture, sometimes I get lucky and catch a shot of something in nature.

Nice pictures!
I have an idea--why don't we identify what the critter we're taking pictures of is? Like mallard or osprey or chipmunk or gray squirrel (and double points for getting shots of endangered animals)? |
Southwest of Calgary, Highway 66 heading to Forget-Me-Not Pond which is the end of the road. The highway just opened for the summer season. Banded Peak is in the distance.

Spring run-off from the mountains happens in June. Here's a few macros of flowers for you... Random locations, ranging from the wineries north of Santa Barbara to Salt Lake City near the Mormon Temple to Ojai, north of Ventura. Oh, maybe a Vegas one or two as well! :)
