man... it looks like some of the ppl in nordstrom tower will have crappy views of some building right next to them....

Skyguy_7 Feb 13, 2019 8:26 PM

^Which is why CPT is cantilevered to the East. But yes, there will be no privacy in many rooms inside both towers.

BoM Trespasser Feb 13, 2019 8:59 PM

Not many actual windows on 220 CPS's south facing side. There is glass masquerading as windows, to disguise a concrete wall.

Does anyone know whether these units are cheaper than the unobstructed ones?

I"m not sure what you mean, are you referencing the floors that are higher than 220?

As far as percentage of blockage, use these photos as sort of a reference...for the most part, the park views are open.

Yes indeed. More generally, for these ultra-expensive residential supertalls, I wonder if the higher units cost more than the lower ones, as they not only get better views but are also quieter since they are farther away from the street. Living so high has a downside though: during a power outage, the residents have a lot more steps to climb! I can't imagine overweight or elderly folks living above the 30th floor.

I live in a two-floor condo complex and I think the condos on the 2nd floor cost slightly more than the ground-level ones.

These photos are helpful. Thanks.

^^The Billionaires' Row supertalls look great in this photo.

^ Planned office towers of midtown east will balance it out more.

From what we've seen of the listings, the higher units are more expensive. But that's to be expected.

I mean, yes...there are pretty much always Views premiums. This is how buildings work...

Yeah, the changes we've been anticipating are starting to become the norm now...

These shots def make it look like CPT has reached the 1398 foot mark of 432. Not sure if thats just the angle since WTC1 is higher than the horizon here but shorter than 432 roof height in reality.
