Didn't realize posting truthful stats on here would actually cause an argument. I clearly don't look at this thread much, so didn't realize I wasn't following an undeclared protocol. It's not like I lied, some guys here need to chill out.

I don't actually see the disagreement here. Someone posted stats, and someone else posted stats. So what?

I wouldn't call the "12 month end" stat truthful as it is a prediction but whatever man, you didn't do anything wrong either.

It's not a prediction, it's a 12-month rolling stat, so not entirely inaccurate.:)

jmt18325 Oct 5, 2015 8:00 PM

Both stats are completely accurate. One is just in a proper context for what is usually used here.

National Airlines is introducing a direct St. John's-Orlando flight in January, 2016. It'll be $229 to start. Reserved seating, in-flight meal, and baggage checking will be free.

Back from YOW, nice modern well-sized airport.

Ya they're starting a Vancouver Orlando flight as well.

YYCguys Oct 8, 2015 2:06 PM

Also operating from Windsor to Orlando, which I find odd, as Detroit is directly across the river, and Windsor gets a lot of leakage over to Detroit.

Tuffyy on SSP reporting a rumour of an exclusive route for YEG potentially forthcoming... Asia?

Coldrsx Oct 9, 2015 8:34 PM

Sounding like HK-YEG-MIA... if so, very impressive for YEG.

Last Friday a few of my family members came back to YUL from CDG with TS. Flight landed at 2h20 pm and parked at a remote stand and they used PTV's to deplane. It's getting more and more common in YUL. These gates can't come soon enough!

Southern Ontario airport capacity to be challenged by surging passenger traffic: report

Quote:

More than 42 million passengers travelled through airports from Windsor to Kingston, last year – 38.6 million through Pearson International in Toronto – but by 2043, traffic will rise to about 90 million airline passengers at airports that have capacity to serve about 70 million people.
Quote:

The demand at Pearson, where travel was up 7 per cent last year, an increase higher than at John F. Kennedy in New York, Heathrow in London and Dubai International among others, is strong enough that the GTAA is ready to discuss expanding Terminal 1.

SignalHillHiker Oct 11, 2015 5:09 PM

:previous:

They should be able to free up much of that by adjusting the hub-and-spoke model. They can push a lot of flights for which southern Ontario is just a connection and not the final stop to airports in, say, Quebec or Manitoba.
