What is the 1150' question mark?

There are some other question marks that belong on this chart, but haven't been made public yet. Exciting times.

Vertical_Gotham Aug 27, 2015 5:30 PM

^^ I agree. Exciting times indeed!

I'm assuming that 1,100' ? tower is Silverstein's planned Hudson Yards tower at 520 W. 41st Street. But then again, that mystery tower in the chart is for 1,150! I dunno, but I hope it's something else that we are not privy to yet. :D

GTTX:

I assume that you have inside info. Is that correct?

Also, without disclosing anything, presumably you're not speaking about projects where we know that something will happen, but we simply don't know what (e.g., 16 W 57th, 31 W 57th, the Subway Inn site on E 60th, 1710 B'Way, etc.). Is that correct?

Correct.

^ Sookie Sookie!!

If I'm going to guess, it's either the Calvary Baptist,Park Lane or the Subway Inn. 1150' would be fantastic.

VG,

He said it's a project we don't know about yet.

I'm guessing:

Director's Guild;

Ziegfeld Theatre; or

A site on the W side of 7th in the 50s.

This city is out of control!

When will the diagram be changed to the correct (or most recently disclosed) height?

jbermingham123 Aug 28, 2015 12:16 AM

gahhhhhhhh i hope they keep the spire

jbermingham123 Aug 28, 2015 12:18 AM

And what about that possible supertall in Brooklyn? .... or would that be considered something we know about?

SSP needs to step up its game

What kind of colorful renegade maniacs write on this site !
All I ask is for my perfect antenna on the northeastern corner.
Then I can do some serious drooling of my own.

Yes, unless you are seeing something I'm not seeing.

Patience lol. It will happen. Usually once the foundation is in place, and all of the preliminary work finishes, once steel re-bar is in, and they start making the skeleton for the structure, yes, the main mass of the tower will rise. But... they have to work on getting there. :haha:

Only in Sim City can you build a skyscraper instantly without any foundation work.
