MONTREAL | Tour des Canadiens | 165 M / 541 FT | 50 FLOORS | U/C
Cadillac Fairview is working on a new project, similar to Air Canada Center area in Toronto. Construction is scheduled to start in 2012.
A 27-storey office tower on St. Antoine with 500,000 square feet of rental space. To make way for it, a seven-storey 1950s building would be demolished on St. Antoine. Known as the Canadian Pacific accounting building, it is adjacent to Windsor Station. Unlike Windsor Station, it is not a designated heritage building. Cadillac Fairview has begun pre-leasing for the new glass tower and it could be occupied as early as mid-2014, Iacono said. A condo complex with a total of about 710 units, spread over three towers. Two would be about 44 storeys each, at Mountain St. and Montreal Canadiens Ave., currently the site of Centennial Plaza. Commemorating the Canadiens’ 100th anniversary, the plaza, owned by Cadillac Fairview, features bronze statues of four Habs greats and personalized bricks purchased by fans. The third would be about 25 storeys high but that includes the already-constructed 10-floor office building on which the condo structure would be erected. Seems like a sure fire money maker for CF

Here's a more recent rendering that correctly shows the 44-floors of the residential towers.
We also have the official height of the 27-storey office building: 133m. For now, our best guess regarding the height of the residential towers is 140m. http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/d...aclaw/bell.jpg |

Wow. Amazing infill. Love to see how it will transform the lovely windsor station glass-ceiling space. |

Oh please, that building has zero value. It's run down and of no particular historical value.
Bumbaru won't win this one. |
Bell Center tower Update
62 floors ~190m - 200m http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/5962/96301400.png |
Sometimes an old 7 story building needs to bite the dust to make way for progress.
But when there's a whole block of surface parking directly across the street it is not one of those times, however. |

MONTREAL | Tour Avenue des Canadiens | 197m | 61 FLOORS  |
Is there an official height now??
|
^Yes and no, the project is seeking approval to build up to 197m, but the final height has not been settled upon by the developer.
197m will do for now, we can keep our fingers crossed the market can support the building up to its full height. |
Montreal breaks into the 60's. Which incidentally, were the best decade for good ol' Montreal
