Demolition has begun on the existing structures at One Bryant Park. All signage has since been removed and the buildings are being gutted, the only vestige is a hold-out McDonald's. In some instances on the mid-block side of 42nd street excavations have already begun.

Construction of the 960 foot building will begin in the summer.

Can't wait to see this rise, maybe there could be a real introduction edited into the first post SternNYC? I'm talking renders,dates,info, links etc, it just makes the thread seem more 'official'.

I see those posters all over Times Square showing what buildings are on their way. Pretty cool.

I remember when I first saw those posters a few years ago I thought they were just a bunch of crazy artistic conceptions never to be built, at least anytime soon.

Let the construction for 1 Bryant Pk begin!

I think the first render is for the proposed 140 West 42nd Street.

In order right to left; 140 West 42nd St., TXSQ Tower, Reuters Building, Ernst and Young National HQ, PABT Tower, Conde Nast Building, Westin Hotel, 11 TXSQ, One Bryant Park.

I think this tower will rise floor by floor with the Times tower, almost like twins....

almost.........like modern, glassy twins. but fraternal twins in that they look different.
