I was unaware that Sacramento has such a cool historic district. Awesome shots!

I stumbled across Gold Rush Days this year when I was meeting family in Old Town Sacramento for lunch. Imagine our surprise. What a fun event. I always enjoy Old Town, but, this event was a blast. Nice shots!

Great photos!!! I was there as well. In fact I'm in one of your photos.

Great shots Innov8, if you like that kinds stuff you should read the book
"Gold Rush Capitalists: Greed and Growth in Sacramento" it's a great book about the gold rush here |
It's like a massive Hollywood set. Quite surprising actually - not what I was expecting at all.

Great pictures! As I got into geography as a kid, I wondered if any town in the West still had dirt streets like in the 1800s. I didn't know about any at all (even if temporary). Then I saw a thread back in the Fall (probably Stepper's) and found out that you really can experience the Wild West. (I've been to San Diego's Old Town, which also has dirt streets, but it isn't quite the Wild West with saloons and frame facades like you picture in the gunslinging days.)

Very cool! I always loved going to Gold Rush Days when I was a kid. I took some friends from Denver to Old Sac a while back and they were really impressed.

Very nice!
