Is there any chance you know the name as well as the address? Out of all buildings in this area, that one is SCREAMING BUY ME, BUY ME.

There's an active thread on the construction of that one, which was the site of the Roseland Ballroom...

BTW. YOUR pics are by FAR the best and most detailed on the forum. Thank You personally for bringing us up close pictures of these monster buildings! It sets my mind in motion seeing each of your outstanding pics.
Might you have albums of all of your pics in one place for easier viewing?
And finally, when I do buy in one of these new supertalls (this is a confirmed guarantee that I am purchasing at least one unit in one of these new buildings) you are cordially invited to share a bottle of Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label with me on day one in my new unit....furnished or not.... in payment for sharing your amazing pics with all of us. Just think of the possibilities which would be open for you this far in the sky!!

One more...do you photograph interiors of apartments throughout the city for RE purposes on I have completed staging for sale? As many units I have bought and sold over the past ten years here in NYC, I have yet to find just ONE capable and talented photographer that can make the sales process that much easier. In a city of this magnitude, one would think there would be an abundance of capable interior photographers but that is not the case.
Thanks for your time and I await your response. Brody.

I really want to like this tower given the roof height and bringing back the tallest to NY (no I don't count the needle on 1WTC), but the box design and the glass so far are not looking great. I always remain optimistic, so hopefully the finished product when viewed with the other rising towers will look great. I do think the spire that was on the original design would have completed this tower better and giving some more diversity to the overall look. The cantilever is an interesting design, but that isn't obvious on the skyline view - mostly only from the local Central Park south and 57st views.

Maybe it is just the feeling that the "tallest" should have a little better design or eye catching features. However, I guess I'm not a developer trying to make the most money off of the condos as possible. Probably also says how spoiled we are in this area that we can complain about a tower of this size when so many cities don't even have a single tower over 1,000 ft and there are double digit towers in the city right now rising to that height or much higher. End rant ... still hoping they surprise us with the spire.

Well, that glass isn't visible yet. I suspect that will be the nicest thing on this tower. It's good height still, but as the tallest, at least in Midtown, it should be something more than a box.

By some very very rough estimates, I'm guessing it's standing somewhere around 240m right now.

My apologies for not noticing your comment before!
I worked for years as a Trader on Wall Street (started at age 21 with the help of my Uncle who also worked in the business all of his life). After two decades of that high pressure job, I worked as a Banking Executive before going into RE investment business.... first as a part time 'hobby weekend job' then full time when all of these new luxury towers started popping up everywhere.
The return on your RE investment is outrageous if you are able to partner with a few developers who need financial investors to turn their plans into reality. I have been extremely fortunate to have partnered with some of the best and most talented development teams over the past ten years.
I will stay in this business at least for the next ten years if the market for luxe units stays high and these mega towers continue to reach for the sky. I knew once properties started to be built fronting Central Park, investing at the start of the building process was the way to go. And so far that is holding true.
I have also purchased a number of buildings that are being converted as well as many turn key units that I utilize as rentals. There are SO many people who are skeptical of the market fluctuations so they continue to rent while staying in Manhattan. The old rent vs buy discussions on Curbed are so worn out as everyone living in Manhattan knows that rents will continue to climb to stratospheric heights for at least the next decade.
In NYC, it is either continue to rent, buy now and hope for unit appreciation so you might flip and move up in the market or move to the outer boroughs and continue to rent.... which many younger people do once they get married and start planning on children.
Thanks for your inquiry! Being a new poster here I didn't want to really reveal too much info but I thought why not, right? Of course revealing this fact comes with its drawbacks as you might have seen with a couple of recent rude comments/exchanges.
I have decided to refuse to participate in those kinds of exchanges in the future just to keep my nose clean!

Wow! Looking good! Keep it up the great work. Hopefully it should be completely sometime in 2020 or so.

I think we all agree that the crown could use a little pizzazz as opposed to the boxy flat roof we expect it to have as of now. A friend of mine showed me renderings for an earlier version of the tower. It had a similar tapering crown to One57 and the cantilever was smoothly blended into the side of the tower. It was a very graceful design. This boxy version is much more... practical I guess. That's the best word I can use to describe the building thus far. Still, it's not a bad building by any means.

Except for means of being on the NY skyline. I think it's a fine building for a building. But there is nothing to it that excites. It's massing is too awkward.
I think the facade is what will save it from being a terrible building, and will actually look nice.

For previous version though, this one remains my favorite...simple, smooth, and elegant.

Yes NYGuy, That was the design I saw. It's much better. I saw renderings of it from the park and it kind of echoed One57's lighting.
