I am loving your tours!

Nicollet Island is one of the unknown tragedies of Minneapolis. It used to have several blocks of the city's nicest, most ornate row houses, but they fell into disrepair and were torn down. It's a nice, quaint place, but feels bizarrely underutilized given it's location.
The Grain Belt sign is classic Mpls. |
Wow, this is great!
That Earth Day sign hasn't aged well. |
Interesting. The Mississippi is such a different animal up there. It pains me that the Twin Cities takes so long to get to from here by car...it's a classically beautiful autumn midwestern drive, though.

those houses are all very halloween-y. count me in as somebody appreciating the expanded minneapolis coverage here on ssp!

Nicollet Island is very cool. I would love to live on it, those houses are walking distance to downtown but they feel like they are in their own little world.
I've heard that in the early 20th century it was the cities' red light district, which is probably why it fell into disrepair. |
Thank you for the pictures, Columbusite!
Nicollet Island and St Anthony Main are pretty. I´ve liked the wooden houses and the landscape. It must be a quiet place to live in. Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain! |
Glad to see MSP finally getting some attention on here. Great city and very underrated because of its location. Def a place I am considering moving. Great pics!
