NEW YORK | Park Central Tower | FT | FLOORS
This could very well end up as just a vision. But this SOM designed tower would be taller than the rest of the "Billionair's row" towers.

I wish we had more info about what "Plans have been drawn..." means.
If somebody knows something, please speak up. This is a massive tease. Hopefully not a vision. A mega-tall will happen in time due, just a matter of waiting. Makes us wonder what the Park Lane hotel site will yield. One of the best locations in the city. |

Gee.
A Pelli-on-HGH ripped-off, rounded-corner box with a plain-Jane looking beacon and 2 or 3 ho-hum, low-level setbacks that most likely will meet the street with an earth-shattering meh........ Start again, chaps. |
It looks like it could be on the site of the Hilton on 6th.

The site is also in the theater bonus district, meaning they could transfer air rights from theaters. Could be another long term play. http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcla/downloa...ary%5B2%5D.pdf The site also makes sense because it would be clear of Central Park Tower, offering views of the park. https://a4.pbase.com/o12/06/102706/1...AzhFxBu.g3.JPG https://a4.pbase.com/o12/06/102706/1...LoejB1H.g4.JPG https://a4.pbase.com/o12/06/102706/1...JFMCDx.g10.JPG https://scontent-lht6-1.cdninstagram...NDMzNg%3D%3D.2 |
It looks like it’s on the site of the Park Central Hotel on 7th.
|
Is that a first megatall , it looks like exceeding 2000ft height
|
This is the Park Central site.
I always wondered when we would hear something about redevelopment, given it has a big footprint and enormous air rights. |
The site of that model was the first indication something was in the works, but I'm sure this isn't the only giant that was in planning in the area.

Looks a little similar to this which is a concept for vacant land on 265 West 45th Street (rendering courtesy RB Systems). Its not where Park Central is located, but the design may give us ideas to how it would look among the skyline. Although this looks to be way taller than CPT (Park Central), but food for thought.
