I doubt it as Canadian North handles pretty much everything and interlines cargo with WS & primarily AC. The only exceptions are 1) YOW-YFB that Cargojet has...but as far as I'm aware, that's still sub-contracted by 5T to CJT back since when First Air wanted to rid themselves of their lone 767; and 2) the 5T/Calm Air 734 combi ops on YWG-YYQ-YRT. WS doesn't have the infrastructure in the North. I'm sure the cargo they fly up to YZF as DH4 belly cargo suffices. Ditto YXY especially as it's far easier to truck stuff up to Yukon, even beyond Whitehorse.

I see AC are now listing the CR2s and CR9s as 'Mitsubishi CRJ-200/900'.

It's actually because the government doesn't allow connections from international flights, as you have to quarantine in a "government approved hotel" in YYZ, YUL, YVR and YYC so KLM couldn't legally carry passengers onwards to YEG.

The frequencies they were going to use for this triangle are still planned to be flown to YYC non-stop. (Originally it was 4x weekly roundtrips / 2x weekly YEG tag but now its just 6x weekly AMS-YYC-AMS).

Also LH loaded the planned Eurowings YHZ-FRA route for S22. Currently filed as a mainline 343, but all of their planned EW routes are currently loaded on mainline aircraft at this time.

Iqaluit (a bit less than 8000) has had DHC-8-200 (not sure if that counts) service from Air Greenland in the past.

Not really. We've had the Dash 8 3s for decades (50 seats) but not the 74 seat q.

Deer Lake, NL is smaller and has had 737 service from WS. The only evidence of Q400 service is in this announcement http://www.deerlakeairport.com/westj...lifax-service/ and youtube.

Deer Lake has a population around 5200 and would be a similar regional hub to YCG

If you're talking just the Q400/DH4, then YDF is definitely smaller and has had DH4 ops. YYR at population ~8,100 had be a long-standing Q station. While AC are gone from YYR, PAL's new DH4 fleet is now serving YYR. YJT/Stephenville at around 6,000 is also smaller and has seen seasonal Porter ops. YJT is the poor cousin to YDF that compete for traffic in western NFLD - Deer Lake-Corner Brook-Stephenville. Technically Sandspit is the smallest Q destination with a population of 300, but similarly, YZP is the main gateway to Haida Gwaii...but even then the entire archipelago is only about 5,000 people.

However, if you're talking about 'is that the biggest aircraft for a town of 8,000 in Canada', then the answer is 'not even close'. Lots of smaller communities have 737s. Resolute Bay - population around 250, used to see sked 727 & 737 combi service.

YDF and YCG though serve much bigger regional population centres of course.

YYR has daily AC Q400 sked to restart end of October to YHZ. Might happen earlier now.
