End of March is 4 months away. Seems to me if they were going to announce a new route to LHR for S20, they would have announced it by now.

Could very well be they lease the slot out, or double down on YYC-LHR. But again, if it’s the latter they are doing, seems to me they would have loaded the schedules accordingly by now. Hence why I’m leaning towards the former scenario.

The return of YEG-LHR perhaps now that WS is out of the picture? Most likely scenario I’d say is a 5th daily YYZ.

Has AC been given a “use it or lose it” exemption for YYT and YHZ while the MAX is grounded or are they temporarily leasing them out?

AC had not made a single change to the summer schedule for more than 2 months now, except renumber current Air Georgian flights (7200-7499) into the Jazz range, which was done last week.

Not sure why, it thought it was due to the migration of reservation system, but that was done already...

So far, there had been little changes made for domestic, transborder, and express flights. And there are less Rouge changes than usual...

BA will not cut back this route, it does very well for them both for traffic and yield. That's why it is one of their A380 routes.

AC numbers weren't horrendous either, the double daily was just too much of a boost and they needed something in between double daily and daily, so they have upgauged to the much larger 777W

Just as I complained about no change...

AC had add a new daily flight to CDG with A333, shared between YUL and YYZ. The time for the YVR flight had also been changed so the arrival match the new YUL/YYZ time.

So what's AC's plan there? Base on the current schedule, there will be 3 AC A333 (plus 1 77W) parked at CDG at the same time?

During the summer, passenger numbers on YVR-LHR fell significantly vs 2018. June was down 2%, July down 3%, August down 4%, and September down a whopping 17%. Over 10000 fewer passengers flew the route in September this year alone! That's 2% of the total annual passengers lost in one month alone! The route is, by empirical accounts, not doing well at all.

I just want to clarify, based in that filing, there will be a second YYZ-CDG flight, 4x weekly. I ran a dummy booking, nothing is reflected yet. Do you know if this plan is set?

So YUL-CDG on AC goes 17 weekly.

Coupled with AF's increases to both YUL (21>>>24 weekly) and YYZ (10>>>14 weekly), and TS's incease on YUL-CDG (14>>>17 weekly), there will be a decent capacity increase from YYZ/YUL to CDG next summer.

Total of 58 weekly from YUL to CDG. If we count SS and LV to ORY, that's 69 weekly between YUL and Paris ! Almost 10 daily flights on average !

If YVR-CDG was doing good, daily service on the route would have been a priority for AC it seems, but the fact they decided to keep it 3x weekly (inaugural season was 4x weekly i believe) means the YVR market can't sustain anymore non stop service to Paris.

Certainly doesn't help with WS going 6x Weekly on YYC-CDG.

Condor is also resuming summer seasonal MUC-YHZ after a 2 year hiatus. 1x weekly friday service on board B763. Service begins June 5, 2020.
