Cool... I'm presuming that with those old hangars, YDT must be an old air force base?

Quebec City's Jean Lesage International airport as well as Toronto's Billy Bishop airport will get their U.S. customs pre-clearance authorization:

So, How is YUL ranked compared to the other Canadian airports in number of passengers?
|
Back above Calgary. Signalhill, you can update the front page with the new number whenever you want.

Looks like the airport hired their statistician.:haha: |
about time YUL woke up. I had written to them last week as well.
As for CPB at YQB, i feel as though that is a waste of time. Not that many non stop flights to the US from YQB. Take today as an example, i count.. 2x DL Connection to JFK (CRJ9 76 seats) TS to MCO (B738 189 seats) UA Express to EWR (E145 50 seats) So that's what, 391 seats to the US. (and that's assuming the seats are all full) tomorrow, it's again 2x DL to JFK TS to FLL WG to FLL UA to EWR So slightly more passengers, around 580. Now I know sundays are the busiest, as TS, WG and WS all have non stops to FLL, plus 5T to PBI (cruise charter), but nonetheless, for most of the winter weekdays as well as all of summer, the US bound number never reaches 500. Honestly, anything less than a thousand passengers/day isn't worth CBP's efforts. The Montreal train station CBP is a good idea, even though it's only 2 trains a day, because it will cut the travel time between Montreal and New York by 30-40%. I know the train stops at the border and it can take 1 to 2 hours (sometimes more) for the customs guy(s) to clear all the coaches. So eliminating the need for that will be a huge bonus for the Montreal train station, and might attract other Amtrak services to BOS or Washington, for example. Just my 7 cents. (2 cents, plus a nickel because i'm not your average joe ! ;)) Edit: ADM just sent me an e-mail, saying the 2015 numbers were published yesterday....lol |

Also if you happen to look at the passenger stats chart you'll notice that the numbers for YTD do not match those of what it should be for just one month, leading me to believe that ADM accidentally released February's numbers as well. It shows a total of 2,494,899 meaning that February numbers could be 1,226,583 which would be an aprox. 7% increase over 2015. Check it out: http://www.admtl.com/sites/default/f...gl_16-vWeb.pdf |

Remember, this is a leap year so the one extra day in Feb gives an automatic 3.6% increase. |

Transborder (+4.7%) and Domestic (+4.7%) saw bigger increases than international (+3.7%) for the month of January. That must be a first. |
Ed force one was damaged as it was being towed down in Santiago. Airport staff got injured but are OK. Seems like the tug got disconnected as it was turning a corner, and the B747 behind kept going straight hitting the tug with two of it's engines....
So much for it showing up in Canada in a few weeks! I was looking forward to see it in action at YUL. http://twitter.com/search?q=ed+force+one |
This is great news for cross-country travel, finally a coast to coast non-stop! And also good for Winnipeg :)

That is good news for coast-to-coast travellers, but it will be a long flight. 8 hours or so in a B737 will probably feel cramped by the time you arrive. I've done many trans-Atlantic flights that were shorter than that and welcomed the space to move around in on the various wide-bodies I utilised.

That still doesn't make sense. It should be about a 6 hour flight.
