Basically, no change from the original filing for the new building. That particular filing is for the plumbing.

With a solid focus on the future, Pizzarotti is currently developing three ultra-luxury buildings, two in New York City and one in the Principality of Monaco. Our flagship development project in New York, is 45 Broad Street, an 83 story tower, 6th tallest in New York and valued at over $400 Million in total development costs.

I'm not so sure about that ranking.

Funny... I guess If you don't consider any other current projects in the ranking.. 1 WTC, Empire, 432 Park, BOA ...this building is in the top five! (:

This is a huge undertaking. Right at the heart of the Financial District, this building will forever change the skyline of Lower Manhattan.

I'm desperately waiting for this one to start.... and more renderings

Financial District's planned supertall at 45 Broad Street is ready to rise

Quote:

The Financial District’s latest planned supertall is officially moving forward after the development team held a groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site, at 45 Broad Street, Wednesday morning.

The 1,115-foot tower is being developed in a joint venture by Madison Equities, Chinese real estate firm Gemdale, and Italian real estate company, the Pizzarotti Group.

Loads freaking better than the previous design now that the awkward looking cantilever is gone.

Toll Brother City Living’s new West Village residential project is almost finished. Known as 100 Barrow Street, the 26-unit building rises a modest 11 stories from the cobblestoned corner at Barrow and Greenwich streets. The exterior of the Barry Rice-designed building features a red-brick façade with a rounded corner along its lower floors and a sparkling glass and brass volume above. Since we last covered the project, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the protective netting to be taken down from its upper floors. Now, the avid photographer known as Field Condition has captured these exceptional shots of the bipartite design.

My skyscraper envy levels are extremely high right now.

Zapatan Apr 26, 2017 9:37 PM

This is going to be awesome :)

chris08876 Apr 26, 2017 10:09 PM

When this starts rising, the sopranos theme song will be the song to blast as your on the turnpike heading into the city. With a Boris 11 cigar and the 11 supertalls u/c ;)

Afterwords, we shall celebrate at the badabing where there are some broads that are 45 where we will be down $1120 by the 66th minute.

Great things happen to those with patience, I've been waiting for this tower for 8 years, before even signing up to this site, and what is rising now is a miillion times better than the glass boxes of yore.

That's true. They need to update the diagrams rendering. Considering the older design, this is 1000x better. Worthy of the skyline.

Today was a good day :)

NYC is about to have 11 supertalls under construction at once! Plus more proposals in the works...This is insane.

NYguy Apr 27, 2017 2:30 AM

This is fantastical. Not only do we get a render, we get dirt moving shovels to signal this baby is on the way.

It's a sweet design. Now the question, do we put it up there with 9 DeKalb?

Comparison of old and new...

I'm not quite there equating it with 9 de Kalb but they've eliminated the funky middle, which while kinda daring actually still didn't work for me.. so it's really much better, and definitely one of the more iconic, top shelf designs at this point. I think Broad Street's going to have a real winner when this is done!

Skyguy_7 Apr 27, 2017 12:17 PM

^ Wow, just wow. This makes a trio of top-shelf, highest of caliber, innovative designs u/c right now; joining the likes of 9 Dekalb and 111 W 57th. Unmatched since the GE Building, Chrysler and Empire State rose up in the early 30s, we're on the cusp of seeing three new instant-icons, with their own Deco twist.

toddguy Apr 27, 2017 5:24 PM

Huge improvement....beautiful tower.

mrnyc Apr 27, 2017 7:21 PM

i kinda liked the old one, it was funkier, but this is slick and nice and deco-y too. and do i detect a bit of a nod to the old wtc design in there up at the crown?
