When I have done these types of flights before (on both AC and WS), they give you the choice, but if you stay on board your expected to keep out of the way of grooming staff that come on the aircraft. They usually want to take a quick look at your boarding pass. I have been in this situation with crew change and with the same crew.

I can’t believe that the yyc yhz crew will be the same crew that operates yhz cdg! That would most certainly be against crew duty day/crew rest regulations.

Do all Canadian airports have free wifi?

I know the airports I've used in the USA have wifi but you have to pay for it.

Canada has a lot of smaller airports. Don't know about them but all the major airports have free wifi.

It’s highly likely they will swap crews in YHZ. A crew swap doesn’t necessary mean the passengers would all have to deplane.

A flight crew in Canada can do up to 14 consecutive hours in one day, so it would be possible, but probably unlikely that they would do it.

There’s got to be rules around day flying versus red eye flying. A crew can’t be expected to do both in one work day! That would be just cruel and unusual punishment!

Nice option for connections to Europe from YXU.

It seems like an interesting tactic by Air Canada, considering they already provide feeder flights from CYQG and CYXU into Pearson for onward connections.
I also know a lot of people in Windsor cross over the border to fly out of KDTW.
Still, hopefully for those people, having other options will help increase competition and lower prices.

I just wish YKF-Montreal had been on the list as well. Some day. Some day.

There certainly seems to be an expansion of scheduled flights out of CYKF. With flights from CYYZ, CYTZ and CYHM to CYUL it may seem as overkill to also include CYKF. But never say never. If the others work, and Air Canada have space capacity in their planes, they may just start the route.

Friend of mine flies for WestJet. Everyone is different but in his mind the Halifax red eyes out of Edmonton and Calgary were the hardest for him to fly when they scheduled them with an immediate turn around back to Alberta. Long legs, a long duty day, and all on the back side of the clock.

The crew do some routes that I find hard. Perhaps you get use to it. Last week I was on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Vancouver, departed Atlanta around 7:30pm local time, arrived into Vancouver just before 10pm. The crew working the flight said they were turning the flight around and working the red-eye return.

On Monday, April 30, ADM will be presenting its development plan for the next few years in front of the Montreal Chamber of Commerce.

This is awesome news. Hopefully it will also spark some more tourism to Quebec from Southern Ontario. Also agree that KW really could use some better connections. It was always so expensive and inconvenient to go from KW to Pearson that - in the absence of a train connection - getting some more direct connections elsewhere would fill a big void in the market from what I can tell.
