I'm So Over San Antonio... A Few New Photos Added 03-08-21

New photos added to last page on Thursday, 08/12/21.

Recently bought my first drone. Still kind of tentative about flying it. Afraid it’ll fall on someone and cut off an ear or maybe fly into a power line and blackout the entire state.:haha:
All photos mine. All on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/23333264@N00/.

Thank you! I am a bit bummed, though. I just found out that I need to get a Part 107 license from the FAA if I want to sell (or sell the rights to) any of my drone shots. I had planned on uploading them to Getty Images. Now that'll have to wait.

excellent. i dk what it is about the looks of downtown san antonio, or the vibe, which is kind of odd actually, well i guess any downtown has its quirks, but anyway but i just love it. it has great bones.

Thanks. Downtown San Antonio is pretty nice at street level... less so as seen from above or at a distance. Not much of a skyline, and some really mediocre (at best) newer architecture.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there a couple of years ago. Once you get past the tacky tourist bids, it's quite a good place to explore and has far more depth than it might initially present.

Drone is a revolutionary product for civilians to achive their skyline dreams...now you can do some research on perfect skyline angles and take the shots without any blockings or impossibilities.

What brand are you using?

One of the most underrated cities anywhere. San Antonio is a gem.

Beautiful shots, the brick & mortar building stock heft is great.

I disagree slightly. From a distance, SA’s skyline is nothing to write home about. But from above, like in these great pictures, you get a much better sense of what makes the skyline unique and underrated. It’s not tall, but the core around the Riverwalk has some great density, and downtown is full of good architecture. San Antonians (?) should be proud of what they have, and from the development thread, it appears to keep getting better.

yes thats it exactly -- thank you. downtown has good density and the old stock is very comforting, if not standout. that is quite a solid base to grow on. hopefully they are doing more downtown urban redevelopment growth these days and that their notorious sprawl growth era has mostly passed.

Interesting perspectives, looks like a beautiful and colourful city. My city is all greens and blues, so it is nice to see mores reds and yellows and less glass. I like this picture the most: https://www.flickr.com/photos/23333264@N00/50876152368/

Actually, the only time I was ever in Los Angeles, years before I moved to San Antonio, I was in a cab on a freeway going from somewhere on Melrose to Union Station and my thought was that L.A. looked like a really big San Antonio. :)
