So 1,397ft to the highest occupied floor!! Since this tower has a huge crown it could very well break the 1,500' mark! |
Also it's 80 floors now, which most certainly is an indicator for a height increase.

Wow, so 111 W.57 will likely be taller than 432 Park? Interesting.
I thought they would both be around 1,400 ft, but this is very promising. |

If you click on the Stop Work Order it says "resolved", so I think its a non-issue. I'm looking forward to this building being approved and start rising, so far it has been such a tease.

Wow! Great news!

A quick breakdown of the building. https://c4.staticflickr.com/4/3943/1...cb466e12_b.jpg it looks like it might fall over if it got any taller. NYC's getting taller: http://www.6sqft.com/wp-content/uplo...-nyc_small.jpg From: http://www.6sqft.com/new-york-citys-...e-sky-part-ii/ |
^ They took it down. Luckily I didn't close the flickr tab, so I made a screen shot
http://s14.directupload.net/images/141106/sff8y9n2.png Look at that huge crown!! I'm telling you guys, this could be a 1,500+ footer! Mass damper ist located at floor 80. |
imagine... a rival for nordstrom..

I don't see how this building is any less than 1,500 ft., given that previous screenshot of the crown, and the official DOB filing showing 1,397 ft. to top floor. |

It would be so cool if 111W ends up 1,500ft+. But a solid 1,400 footer isn't that bad either. :D |

I think that may be the actual height. DOB permits don't always list by highest occupied floor, sometimes it's the actual height. Anyway, 1,397 ft is the figure that's been floated around for a while now, so it may be accurate. The difference in floor count is merely what is counted as a floor. DOB has different criteria. http://www.wspgroup.com/en/What-we-d...t-57th-Street/ Quote:
Of course, I would love to be proven wrong. But I don't think so. Besides, the building is tall and thin enough already. What really stands out though is the relatively small number of units that will be available. |
^ Yeah, 1,500ft would be really pushing it. Maybe that glassy, thick spire, i.e.crown, counts as a solid structure. Nevertheless it would be the most epic trolling ever: exactly the same height as 432 PA. :haha::haha:

Sombody needs to build something with some breathing room, to truly capture the title. But my mind keeps going to how few units will be in this building, vs. a building like Silverstein's planned 520 w 41st. This will truly be an exclusive tower, barely putting a dent in the market. |
