MIAMI | One Brickell CityCentre | 977 FT | 60 FLOORS
Swire purchased the 700 Brickell Ave adjacent to its U/C massive 7 tower Brickell CityCentre complex. They plan on adding this parcel to the complex and building a mix use 80-story tower and connecting it to the Brickell CityCentre complex. No word on the height yet.
Name: One Brickell CityCentre Address: 700 Brickell Ave Developer: Swire Properties Architect: Arquitectonica http://www.bizjournals.com/southflor...r-planned.html (http://swireproperties.us/) http://swireproperties.us/wp-content...CityCentre.jpg Quote:

A love the usual trippy looking Arquitectonica designs. :) From the renderings i'd guesstimate 850'.
|
Wow, that would be huge for Miami! Look 900ft+ to me! Build it!
|
I love that notch on the upper floors. Its amazing how such a simple design can break the monotony of a typical box shaped structure.
This should also add more depth to the Miami skyline. |
Here we go now.
|
Mabye its just the rendering but it reminds me of the Citigroup Center. Not the top portion but the rest of the tower. It just, somewhat brings the thought of the Citigroup Center.

It's really hard to say how tall this will be since it will be a mixed used tower instead of a office building. If it were just an office building it would be over 900 feet but I think there are height restrictions in the area since the Four Seasons down the street was supposed to be 850 feet to but was cutdown to 794 feet. Either way great news for Miami! |
Swire is submitting a height of 1102 feet to the FAA for approval (1111 feet above sea level). Lets see if the FAA cuts off less than 102 feet.
Anyway to change the thread title? http://exmiami.org/index.php/one-bri...sler-building/ |
^ To do what? Add in the new height? Since you started the thread can't you edit your own post or will a Mod have to do it?
Anyways this is incredible news if the FAA allows that height! |
|
Look at that logo...the new Umbrella Corp. Headquarters.lol
|
I would love how the tallest building in the city would be more centrally located between downtown and the taller buildings on the
south part of Brickell… |
This would be the tallest building outside NYC & Chicago in the USA! :righton:
|
So this will be phase 3 of City Center I suppose. I wonder which one will break ground first OBCC or OBP (if either ever do)?
|
so this and 1 bayfront plaza? i like

Hasn't they gotten approved yet? When it will start to build?

http://exmiami.org/index.php/hsbc-si...l-city-centre/ The prominence this building will have makes for a very desirable branding opportunity. More renderings showing the logo at the above link |
Looks like those views from the top will actually be available to anyone. Floors 79 and 80 will be a restaurant and lounge and floors 70 to 78 will be a hotel. How many hotel rooms exist in the world over 1000 feet up?

No, no find. I was just saying I wish they had built this as intended. I used the image just for a reflection between what the skyline in the photo looked like at that period to what it is now. In other words, Miami grew so much, it looks completely different. It never got built. Killed off by the recession as well as being tied by the courts. |
Miami having twin towers would really bring back that classic type of skyline to the US after the loss of the original WTC. NYC might never host something like that again. Chicago might also be a more realistic contender if the Old Post Office redevelopment plan happens.

I think a mod should rename this thread to just Brickell City Centre.
This project is similar to the ones in China where there are many towers involved. Plus, the fact that they have many towers that sound the same makes it a tad bit confusing. Something along the lines of: Brickell CityCentre | 1102ft |520ft x 2 | 516ft As it accounts for the supertall, and the smaller towers in the complex. The renderings above only has the supertall in one of them (Daytime image), but the project itself consists of many smaller towers as well. Well, not really small as 500+ isn't small, but hopefully a mod will understand my point. Its more for just being organized. :) |
I'm confused, why is it One Brickell CityCentre, this building's in the states, shouldnt it be Center?
Or have you guys finally learned to spell? ;) |
Lots of exciting stuff coming down the pipe in Miami from the looks of it.
|
CITC in Philly will be slightly taller....

Also in post #32, you can see the rendering for other buildings in the development that have "Centre" in it. |

So if I didn't miss something... from that last rendering there will be no 1100 foot skyscraper as it's been replaced by a 5 or 600 foot hotel.
Shocker |

Although I do not agree with the thread title. It really should reflect the overall project. This is in a sense like Paraiso Bay, Portside Miami, and World Centre, this is a mega development. Its a couple of posts above this one where it states that. I try to limit the amount of reading material and get right to the point. See post #38. :) |

Yes I could imagine. Some woman out there might have the looks, but brains, are missing. All I gotta say is run! :haha: Anyways, here are some updates on Brickell CityCentre. I hate to be repetitive, but this is a mega development. The supertall is in phase 2. The thread title should reflect the project. It wouldn't make sense making another thread for it when we have a good one here. ..And the FAA wants the height reduced :brickwall:
http://www.exmiami.org/index.php/faa...-flight-rules/ |
Rubbish. :(
I wonder if they would be fine with a 1000 ft height. FAA is really annoying. Does that height really interfere with flight routes? More headaches and delays for quality developments. |
