Comparing these with the renders, it seems that the third floor is already the tower beyond the podium. The formwork above the white van in the great pic above, that's already the start of the balconies (straight lines for a few stories, though).

I recall from the renderings that the podium had two floors above street level. We have few normal floors then we get BLACONIES!

^^^ Yes, but they don't get truly wavy until several floors up. I think it really starts on the neighborhood of the 6th or 7th floor.

From the image posted on this thread's 1st page, it looks like we might be able to see some of the waviness by about the 4th floor.

You can look at the renders and know that it's going to be big, but it doesn't really feel big.
In Solarwind's photos, it already feels BIG. I think it might actually be surprising how big it actually is as it starts rising.

^ Good point. We're talking something like 800 units here, but it seems small. Maybe because the park is big, BCBS is big, the podium area is big... and I wonder how it will feel when it gets going, because this is one that doesn't really go for the big feel at all...

Why are those views so small? jeez, like 150 pixels wide. If you are selling a building on views, than give me a panorama triple that size, minimum.

Maximizing the window does help, however you're right, a 3/4 or full screen image would be much more impactful.

Yep, only four condo units left (being sold by Magellan that is). Friends of mine have told me they've seen "re-sale" units (non-Magellan) listed on realtor.com, which was very surprising to me...

Not that surprising. They're the speculators who bought at pre-construction prices. And now that the building is sold out, they're trying to make a profit.

Magellan's standard contract contain's a clause which they stick to, stating that all units must be closed on and contracts cannot be assigned/transferred prior to close. Additionally, the purchaser must reside in the unit for one year post close. If the purchaser wishes to sell inside of that first year, Magellan retains the first option right to repurchase the unit at the original pre-construction price.

aaron38 Nov 17, 2007 8:29 PM

^Sounds like Magellan's lawyers have some work to do then....
