What is the location of these towers? Was trying to figure out where the LRT goes where there is a Y in the road??

Whether it hurts to look at and give you a migraine if you stare at it for too long is a question we'll revisit once construction is complete.

^concur.... a few of us call it 'Playa del Edmonton'

Regardless of the design having a future LRT station at the base of your building is a pretty strong selling feature.

Is this dead in the water. Nothing has progressed for a long time.

The 3½-acre site is about to become home to West Block, three residential towers alongside a mix of town homes and commercial and retail space.

Construction of the first phase of the project, projected to cost over $50 million and due to begin in October, will turn the existing concrete structure into a luxury 16-storey tower with floor-to-ceiling windows, large terraces and views of the river valley.

The phase will also include a three-storey commercial building.

The base of each of the buildings will includes retail space centred on an urban square designed with landscaping and seating areas for passersby or patios.

I just want to let everyone know that the article posted above was made on March 16, 2016. I guess I didn't come across that article when it came out. Thanks for posting it Urbannizer!

On that note, I changed the title of this thread from 'ON HOLD' to 'approved'.

Oh wow this is a much better development. I can't wait to see this start up again!
