Nice. Is that apartment/condo in the foreground one long building or several buildings? And does the Fleuve St. Laurent ever freeze over at Rimouski, or is it too briny/deep?

They are twin parallel slabs, the buildings appearing at a 45 degree angle.

They are part of La Grande Place mall redevelopment and make up its eastern half, the project's other half is set to start this year:

This Condo is the new building going up in front of the left tower.

The Saint Lawrence used to freeze over solid pretty much in its entirety and ice breakers would work hard in the port but it dosen't freeze nearly as much as it used to, this year it pretty much didn't freeze at all.

However, it still freeze over in the bay in front of downtown where the water is really shallow and protected from the waves by the Island (you can even walk to the Saint-Barnabé Island in the lowest tides). Here you can see the eastern tip of the Saint-Barnabé Island and the rough demarcation between the shallow protected waters and the deep open sea where the ice is breaking up:

Another photo of Charlottetown, looking south towards the downtown core:

In the far field, just slightly to th left of centre, you can see Province House (the provincial legislature and the site of the 1864 confederation conference). It is currently shrink wrapped in white plastic as it undergoes major restoration.
