MELBOURNE | Australia 108 - 70 Southbank Boulevard | 319m | 100L
2nd iteration of the project has been selling offshore for a while now and this week there was national mass-media coverage of the start of the onshore sales campaign, due to kick off in Feb.

This is a better.... albeit shorter render than the first design! Hope it gets built!
|
I liked the original, but this is good also. I've gotten kind of burned out on supertall designs lately, but this one is interesting.
|
Loving the skybox component to this supertall.
|
Oi, didn't know that sales started already.
|
Excellent! Even this this version is shorter I think it fits into the skyline better.
I hope this gets built. |
Melbourne's Movin' on up!
A nice compliment to Eureka (some shared elements, styling, and colors). Can't wait to get back to Melbourne someday. |

If it's to be a traditional build, start planning for about 2018/2019 - given how long it took Eureka to get up. :)
[the first proposal was going to be modular and therefore much faster, haven't heard anything concrete (pardon pun) on the construction method for this yet] |
|
A lot of 250 meter+ buildings proposed for Melbourne.... WOW!

I think its a bar.

This would be better withought the sky boxes. Though it fits right in with Eureka.

So much going on in Southbank. I was quite impressed by Melbourne's rehabiltiation of the area abutting the Yarra River and nearby Docklands.
