I didn't think I was going to like the intermittent fritted glass balconies on the shorter tower next to the more consistent clear glass balconies on the taller tower. But the way the light hits the apex of the curves on the taller tower, the two totally work together, moving away from and together, almost like they're dancing. It shows an exceptional visualization of design.

There are of course flaws - the low-rise townhomes, the expanse of light blue spandrel glass at the base, and awkward caps - but the meat of the towers makes them pretty spectacular.

Man, this is cool. It seems like these haven't gotten nearly as much press as Chicago's Aqua did a few years ago. That's a shame, because these are equally beautiful and far more sensual.

Extremely beautiful! Thank you for sharing these photos.

Shes a beaut indeed.

It's a shame people will store crap on the balconies.

I haven't looked at this thread in nearly a year. All I can say is WOW! These towers have turned out to be IMO two of the most impressive in architectural boldness in, dare I say, all of North America. I just wish they were down in Chicago... sorey;)

Great towers. No offense, but they should have been built in Toronto... :frog:

Very nice and very unique. Such a simple idea, but it turned out very elegant.

Thanks!

But now that I don't live in southern ontario I can't do updates anymore. :(

Living in mississauga, I've grown sick and tired of these towers. The design is just annoying me, since it reminds me of a twisted apartment building. I remember when I first saw it under construction, and thought it was a gigantic coca cola bottle.

I think all buildings should be demolished a few years after they are built and replaced with new buildings. That way we can never grow sick and tired of them.

Agreed. Things like the Eiffel tower, Colosseum, and Empire State Building have far outstayed their welcome and need to go to bring in something fresh.
