Nice pictures!
That first picture looks like it could be Cape Cod. Why are there awnings over the sidewalk and pedestrian crossings? Is it because it's hot there, like how parking lots have coverings in Phoenix? What's with that religious site and the people covered with cloth? |
It is said Tottori is among the poorest place in Japan, relatively.
I know it is not absolutely poor but decay being true, relatively. |
With little enticing retail shops north of the train station and many empty storefronts, I headed south to look for a large department store. Typically, I would expect many choices clustered around the city's main station, but that was not the case. The Aeon, with a large supermarket, is about a 10 minute walk southwest of the station. Views from the parking lot are decent.

Being close to the sea, I went to see their seafood selection. http://www.globalphotos.org/tottori/...3/IMG_3397.jpg http://www.globalphotos.org/tottori/...3/IMG_3399.jpg http://www.globalphotos.org/tottori/...3/IMG_3401.jpg http://www.globalphotos.org/tottori/...3/IMG_3408.jpg http://www.globalphotos.org/tottori/...3/IMG_3409.jpg More on my website : https://www.globalphotos.org/tottori.htm |
