^ Great pics! I thought the "bands" of the building (as seen below the floor with the party) would glow at night like the vertical lights similar to the crown. Looking at these pics, I guess they're not gonna be lit up :(

Man, why are they taking sooooo long on these crown lights? It been like 2 months since they succeeded the first crown light on one side. What about the rest? Nothing? Probably they don’t care. :???:

Yes, probably after all the time and money they put into this building, they finally just threw up their hands and said “I don’t care!” all of a sudden.

Those shots with the angled edge lit up by the sun are awesome! I wish that feature was a little more prominent when it isn’t lit up this way.

^ Seeing such a tall building at the end of the street is awesome too. I will be in NYC this fall to witness it in person!

Both CPT and 30 Hudson have that feature.



Maybe the full crown will be lit by then. But I can't help but feel it would have been a better attraction from the Times Square point of view if the entire facade were illuminated TS style.

I have also made this remark more than once. The design lacks interesting contrasts during the daytime, but when the crown and different windows light up at night, the heterogeneous lighting pattern provides some much-needed contrast.

Now that things are opening up again and my photography business starts taking off, I may be back in NY once again as soon as next month!! :cool:

Seeing CPT and 111W57 from The Edge at night were spectacular, but I know what awaits soon with them both being lit up! Crossing fingers they both illuminate the skyline in the coming days! I feel it's almost time!! :notacrook:

For now, daytime shots will have to do (especially now that the blue film is basically gone at this point) to really show things off, but maaan... can't wait for these towers to be finished :D

They do it with almost all tall residential buildings for marketing and superstitious purposes (for instance the 4th or 13th floor is skipped or the mechanical floors sometimes count as multiple floors).
