:previous: Thanks you very much,Patrick. I love getting comments like that.

I have had this problem since I started making Downtown.

San Felix has two man clusters, one focused one James, the other surronds the big park.

The Skyline is based of chicago, but backwards.

James-Represents Hanckock and Friends,IE the stuff along Mag Mile.

Park,This one is sorta based of Chicago's River, all buildings near each other in total hight, and surronding a mian focal point. SF's building varyies little in other factors, while chicago has alot of building of many different architectural styles. The Park has two Exclimation points at the ends,Echo and Piccaso.

in the end, there are three main peaks.

The problem I have is that theres no division between the clusters. Piccaso Immediatly fades of into the next group of buildings in the james Cluster.

So,I will first look into deleting and moveing old ones,Fixing old ones, and add more to help out.

Then ill see what I can do with the park cluster,Adding varying hights.

Aleks,
Thanks!

Ive been looking into textured roads awile now. Ill see what I can do.

The Rockeffeleleler based one is actually based of Dallas Mercintile. I got to see it myself the other day,for the first time. it a stunning building. mine isnt alot different,in the fact that it doesnt have spires,or such a powerful pressence. Its prety much in a prking lot.

The Other one,is a blatent ripoff of San Francisco's Shell buildings, ecept for the base, everthing else is exactly the same as the real deal.

Well I like it. Just add some small shops around or maybe a 6 floor parking garage. I based some of my cities from Chicago too. La Corte was based off an old Chicago grid that was never finished.

You must know why I am sad

I am naming my town San Carlos,Arizona:banana:

Austin55 Apr 4, 2008 11:07 PM

Cool! San Carlos was actually one of my original names, along with stuff like San Andreas(wich i didnt even know was in a GTA game,I was thinking of the Fault),and a few others which i cant remember.

Anyway,Im in a hurry,so these are dull and unphotoshopped

Thanks for lookin!

Aleks Apr 5, 2008 1:03 AM

Echo looks great. With nothing obstructing it it looks like a true icon of the city.

Peter Apr 5, 2008 2:52 AM

I don't recall ever seeing the bridge. It's NICE!

Aleks Apr 5, 2008 3:57 AM

HA! I just saw that SSP fountain on the last shot! Very clever Austin.

sad face Apr 5, 2008 7:08 AM

Kind of looks like Dallas, I think you copied a bit from Dallas.

I dont see it. Of all cities, San Felix is defanantly one of the freshest cities on SSP Cityscape, I would have never guessed its skyline was based off of Chicago. Thats just it, San Felix has a skyline of its own.

Dac150 Apr 5, 2008 3:03 PM

Yeah, I too never noticed that bridge. I like it though.

Aleks Apr 6, 2008 12:02 AM

He's shown that bridge a couple time. When he modeled that area he showed it a couple weeks ago. But no, I don't see the resemblance between this city and Dallas. Maybe some texture, and a few buildings, but not too many that you can see them right away.

Peter Apr 6, 2008 5:35 AM

The skyline does not look like Dallas, and it doesn't look like Chicago (even though Austin says he based it on Chicago). It's just original :)

Where do you see that? cause that was either a total guess or you know alot about your skylines, cause you are completly right!

You guys see it? modern, glassy skyscrapers fading quickly into an area of historic lowrises. yes,the waterfront is based on Dallas:)

Mostly flat tops, about the same hight,Its just fliped

Echo=BOA
Mo=TXU
Theres even a big Black bo that looks stunningly like Elm Place.

But the buildings are pretty "fresh" and made up,or are just accidents, and I do consider San Felix to be pretty original, its really hard to tell,as it should. I bet alot of people are starring at it thinking,Huh? but thats good!

And thanks for the comments, thats the most ive gotton from a single post in awile:banana: Keep em up!

Patrick Apr 6, 2008 8:14 PM

I LOVE THE DALLAS SKYLINE! And now I tottaly see it, wow! Crazy! But yes I absolutly love the Dallas skyline, so clean, fresh, and gigantic, every skyscraper just looks huge.

Aleks Apr 7, 2008 12:07 AM

I does look similar if you look at them next to each other but Chicago has almost the same thing too.

From left to right: Sears Tower= (forgot name sorry, but it's the farthest to the left with the flat roof), 2 Prudential Plaza=Picasso, and John Hancock=Echo.

I don't like the Dallas skyline as much as Patrick but only because they have really dull building IMO. I do like BOA, that's a building I'll always like.

Peter Apr 7, 2008 5:13 AM

Dallas has a great skyline, but even compared next to each other, I still don't see a significant resemblance, at least not enough to say that you based it on Dallas.

I'm not being negative either. It's not like that's a bad thing. It's a good thing to have an original skyline. That's why we make them ourselves in SketchUp. :)

sad face Apr 7, 2008 10:30 PM

told you it kind of looked like Dallas even though I don't live there I have only gone like three times, I live:) in Arizona.

sad face Apr 8, 2008 3:07 AM

Austin You are Dallasstar in the diagrams right ,well I wanted to tell you that Phoenix:) is very unfinished.

This place is perfect for me. I spend most of my time in the city,so i didnt want to get something to fancy, but i didnt want to get something rundown either. I own a fishing boat, and I spend a lot of my time there, even overnight,so I didnt need something to lavish. And I have quick acces to mmy boat from here. I made some good friends here to. I will defiantly stay put for awhile.

Pam says,
I really like it here. My husband works right next door in for Galcorp, and we also live roght on the dock so he can take a boat to the airport for those bussiness trips to Staunton and Palm Dunes. My daughter, jenny, loves to play dodgeball with her friends in the gym and swimming in the pool. we eat out alot, and a restraunt right inside is great. of course,we all love watching the sunset from our balcony as one big family.

Yeshhh,thats it for now,but i plan on posting 3 more later today,(most likely early tomorrow:D )
