I have to write a paper examining the landscape of a certain street, district, even a strip mall. Problem is, I'm not really sure what to do. The obvious choices that jump out to me are Roosevelt, Garfield or Melrose maybe...but if anyone has any other suggestions for diverse areas or districts or maybe even an event, I'd like to hear them...there's really no restrictions, but I'd rather the area be diverse, be pretty dense in terms of what it offers or to contain something that's typically hard to find in the Phoenix metro area. Thanks either way.

7th Avenue/Melrose District is kind of funky.
Went to Lucky Strike weekend before last for the Brides of March. Had a ton of fun and the place was cool, not uptight at all. Cityscrape looked decent. :) --don |
In other good news, I made my last car payment yesterday. For the first time in my adult life, I have a paid off car. :)

Heh...and here I am looking at getting into a new car payment after having my car paid off for the last 5 years. :P

This was a paid advertisment from the Roosevelt Promotion Commission. :) |

The last couple of years of the loan, when the value of the dollar is less, I'll have an even more smokin' deal on the car.  |
HX, what are you looking at buying?
PHX31, thats a good rate, I just grabbed a 9% on a new Mazda... did you buy a Honda? |
Yeah, I got a new Fit Sport.

I know BMWs are known to drive better...but I think Audis look better and are more "techy" if that makes any sense. Its just more my style...especially their interiors. http://99audis.com/gallery2/d/58-1/Audi+A4+Interior.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1XknPAfZhc...s+interior.jpg |
yup. BMW is known for bland interiors, but I like to think of it as uncluttered. I think the Audi looks clumsy and cheap, of course all personal preference.
I recently converted my friend who was an Audi guy for years to a BMW. He now asks how he was able to drive such a piece of shit (the audi) for so long thinking it was a nice car. There's no substitute for build quality. Just go test drive one for a long drive, see if you like it. You may hate it, but at least look. The finance deals are great right now. And PHX31, cool! thats one of the rides I was looking at before i bought my Mazda. |
There should be good deals now - the current BMW 3-series is at the very end of its model run. Nothing worse than spending the big bucks and then coveting the new version next year...

I think the BMW looks better, plus it is a BMW. The Audi is just a fancy Volkswagen. Nobody thinks you're cool if you drive a fancy VW.

I have no problems with VW...had a 2006 Touareg and I loved that car but unfortunately the gas mileage kills or else I would be seriously looking at the 2011+ Touaregs, they look badass in my opinion.
