Any word on what this is to become. |

I first thought of resurfacing of the lot but streetview seems to indicate that it was recently resurfaced.

Looks like they were taking soil samples here today.

This is interesting. They didn't do this while it was closed and fenced off. I also found an old document that said this was Philpot Church parking, which led me to believe Philpot Church owned the lot.
This is interesting though. Typically soil testing means digging. Curious what that would be for? A condo development? Does anyone know who owns the property for sure? Also any other reasons to do soil testing? |
Ya, I was surprised too, I had to drive around the block to grab a photo.

There's been factories in this part of town for centuries, who knows what that soil's contaminated with.

It’s typically done when developers are preparing development applications as they need to have a geological report prepared for the application.
There can be other reasons soil testing is done - but that is the most common one. |

Cleaning up 'contaminated' soil really isn't an issue at all. There are dozens of companies in the area that specialise in removing, cleaning and disposing of soil like this. High levels of certain chemicals will not stop a build from happening.

This property may belong to the Coppley group and and may be going on sale with their building. Now a days people want to know whats in the ground as they will be libel for any clean up the moment they take possession.

I don't think I saw this posted elsewhere. I came across this on the development mapping.
