As an aside, United is also bringing back YOW-EWR in May... so YOW will go from no daily EWR flights to up to 6x on AC/UA come late May

AC’s schedule was originally revised to fly this route 1x daily on a CR9. I wonder if they’re being forced to use all their EWR slots again? Resumes 01MAY22.

YOW-DCA’s schedule has been revised with a far more sensible 0800 YOW departure compared with the original 2030 departure planned a few months ago. The return is just as good departing DCA at 0659. Resumes 02MAY22.

Far to formal. Being based out of the west I would have expected something more casual.

I know Flair is all over the map but these have to be some of the most obscure routes of all time.

Well this is... interesting... from smaller tier airports too...

Who is in charge of Flair's network planning? I can understand trying out some obscure routes but only when an airline is more developed and can bear the brunt of losses.

This is the Jello method.

Throw Jello at a wall. See what sticks. Maybe grape Jello has some advantage over lime Jello.

I still wouldn't buy a ticket on Flair unless I had no compunction about losing the money, or was travelling very soon.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who was confused when I saw these routes. No way any of last, maybe Edmonton and Windsor stick around for a bit but there’s no way Leth and FMM will.

Like Westjet’s early uniforms that would have been at home in any drive thru?:haha:

Yeah - and what is with the scarves ?
Reminds me of “Mad Men”.

I think TUS could be successful if it were flown from bigger markets like YYC, YWG, YYZ and even YHM/YKF. I think that would promote a substantial amount of USA visitors.

Are they trying to make Windsor an alternative to Detroit? I don't think Americans have the brain cells to trip plan like that (no offence).

I also really can't get my head around Fort Mac and Lethbridge... that's absolutely wild.

I highly doubt we'll see flair touch YHM after the swoop fiasco.

This is only going to work if you go all the travel agents in these markets and offer low cost package deals with hotels etc. However that is not their business model.

LOLd at this haha, so true. I can see that pant and shirt combo in my head, and it was very drive-thru, all they were missing were the headset :D

I don't mind the Lynx uniforms at all, just the right level of professionalism in appearance IMO

And ya, those new routes to Tucson? Yikes, really weird choices. Not just on the Canadian side, but Tucson is so specific, it isn't an alternative airport to anywhere and no connections anywhere else. These flights should have been once monthly charters at best

Agree, my family and I won’t buy any ticket on any airline until closer in (if) we need to travel soon, as it’s really risky with flights getting cancelled due to the pandemic situation & demand still not great, but just okay.

Agree & speaking of Lethbridge I see that Alberta based Red Arrow bus has now added a stop at Calgary YYC both directions on the YYC - Lethbridge bus route. Some people likely are going to choose to take the bus to YYC Airport from Lethbridge on Red Arrow & fly out.
https://www.redarrow.ca/content/uplo...er-13-2021.jpg

Plus some fly WestJet Link from Lethbridge to YYC & connect onto other flights.

But yes most people there drive to YYC.

Basically people from Lethbridge now have 3 options to get to YYC or fly Flair.

Interesting, did not know that! The thing about Flair is if you're going to take a minimum one-week vacation you're going to need a carry-on (probably). With the baggage fees+being screwed over if something goes wrong, it's probably easier to go on red arrow or fly on Link to YYC.
