Yeah, I dont understand why they are doing that, they are destroying one of the coolest mid century modern buildings in Houston for another generic glass box, hooray! Cant believe the preservationists arent all over that, guess they cant compete with oil money though.

What I don't get is that sunk a bunch of money into that buildng a few years ago doing some structural work on the entire exterior. It is a shame. My guess is that it could not compete with rents with the other buildings but what a great residential it would make. |

Sometimes it's hard to fathom all the construction going on downtown - and elsewhere. Five cranes in this photo, and many others not shown:

Like other Camden projects, this sounds like a wrap. It was previously announced in May 2014...

Some economists are speculating the boom could shift to Houston's East Side, closer to the Port.

Speaking of oil slump, the price of WTI is up to over $51 a barrel today (Brent is $56). I can't tell if that's a dead cat bounce, the result of the refinery workers' strike or ISIS threatening Iraq's oil exports. It could be that the cutbacks in the industry are overdone, but for the meantime, I'm enjoying traveling the freeways with fewer heavy fracking vehicles.

This is kind of random but anyone know what's up with the 830' Louisiana building and market square? I really love those
Also 7200 main is AMAZING, first time seeing that, is that still a legit proposal? |
Quote:
And 7200 Main is not happening from my knowledge. It seems there was some confusion if it was even a real project. |
