The LGA visual approach has to be one of the top 3 landings in the world. It really is quite pronounced if you get a seat facing West or on the left side of the plane. From the Verrazano all the way via the East River to LGA. Or depending on the route, coming from the North via the Bronx, down the Hudson, swinging across the bay, and up the East River to LGA. Much better than landing at JFK, visual wise.
Newark is another good one depending on the route. Can see Manhattan from soviet NJ along with the proletariat below paying 15k/yr in property taxes. :) But is it worth it? To be near this city? Yes it is! |

Thanks for the video. Lower Manhattan and Midtown look almost like two separate cities. The gap between them is so pronounced from this perspective.
