Ithaca is kind of big into the Roller Derby. There are two women's teams and a junior league (more info here: http://www.ithacarollerderby.com/ )

Each year there is a music festival in a small town just outside the city of Ithaca. It's called the Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance. It's kind of a throwback to the 60s. Here's some info:

The interior of this building is magnificent also. The exact duplicate building was at the corner of Andrews ave and 183rd st in the Bronx. They tore it down to build PS 291's replacement or something like that. My Aunt lived there. Fourth floor left hand side. My Grandma taught at PS 291. |
