If you exclude the base, this tower would have fit so well in the NY skyline. :slob:
It is tall, elegant, slender and its two major setbacks make it look even taller. The perfect skyscraper (but not the perfect location) |
I really like this design. It will be awesome if it's as reflective as the rendering is suggesting.
|
It appears to buck the trend of building oddly-shaped structures in Astana. . . looks nice. . . I think it's been under construction for a while now. . .
. . . |
oh right, this thing, with a new design.
|
Original was way better.

What's up with the name? 'Abut Dhabi' in this middle of the Khazakstani plains? :koko:
I'm going to assume the development company is based in the Emirates. Does anyone have a better answer? |
It sort of reminds me of the International Commerce Center (ICC) tower in Hong Kong. :)
|
Oh God.. PLEASE don't let this be the real rendering. |
Massive and ugly.
|
wait, so which design is it then?

The surrounding cityscape seems bleak as hell.
|
These days every country (scratch that) every city in the world has a building higher than 1250 feet. It show's the progressiveness of humans, but the ESB's height isn't special anymore, but it's still one of a kind.
|
This is the old design.
