DALLAS | The Tower at Hall Arts | 50 FLOORS

Went ahead and created the thread for this building because the 1st face (KPMG Plaza) is complete. According to the developer the next phase will be announced this fall:

Exclusive: Developer Craig Hall planning next phase of Hall Arts in Dallas
Quote:

Developer Craig Hall could announce the next office tower in Hall Arts as early as this fall as the soon-to-be completed KPMG Plaza at Hall Arts gets closer to being fully leased.
Quote:

"We've been looking at planning another office building and we've looked at other uses as well," Hall, chairman of Hall Financial Group, told the Dallas Business Journal in an exclusive interview. "We are not going to immediately start anything, but we hope to announce something in the next few months or maybe later this fall."

Hall, who usually starts his office towers without signed tenants, said he could start a new building on the land across Ross Street from KPMG Plaza or adjacent to the property.

According to today's announcement on the Residential (Phase 2), this tower is now proposed at 50 stories.
Quote:

Hall hopes to break ground on the project next year. He aims to complete final plans for Phase 3 — which includes a 50-story office tower with space for restaurants — in the next two to three years.

The article says 50-story office tower. Assuming that's not a typo or error, that has some significant height implications. A 50-story office tower in today's standards is going to be 800+ ft.

Judging from that it looks like it's maybe around 600 feet or so. The Chase Tower is 596 feet to that 2nd setback from the top.

Now the hard part is trying to find tenants or a significant enough lead tenant to get this big boy underway. It'll take some hefty sway to pull the enticement of Collin County, Frisco and Plano's Legacy West, away and bring em to DTD. Then you have the smaller buildings and larger ones like McKinney & Olive in Uptown, Harwood, and the eventual development in the Design District.

This one is not. It's neighbor, Hall Arts Hotel & Residences, is under construction.
