I do miss the three-story building that came down for it, but #progress.

Last week I got to visit Chicago for the first time and was able to take some photos while I was being a tourist! All were taken by me on my phone on 04/07/2022.

Thank you! I really enjoyed the boat tour, you got to see lots of buildings from all different angles and learn about some history. Loved all the architecture, food and drink in the city!

They're calling her "Millie on Michigan" (mild cringe), which is assume is a play on Millennium Mile?

oh wow the prices are actually reasonable. 2100 for a convertible on Michigan ave, thats a deal.

Yeeeeeah... kinda gross

I imagine it'll also get a little confusing, given that MILA is just down the block.

I wonder if it will become another de facto Booth dorm (the worst is when I catch a train full of Boothies heading back home from Hyde Park).

That mural on the underside is a pretty cool touch.

CitizenM is pretty hip. I think this project does a great job at both modernizing and activating this part of Michigan Ave.

thegoatman Aug 1, 2022 5:50 PM

anybody know the retail that will grace this building?

gebs Aug 18, 2022 1:48 PM

I don't see it so much as "less desirable" and more "overlooked in the shadow of a much higher-profile building."

Maybe that's the same thing, but think it works. Money talks and if I could pay half WPE rates and still live with a similarly beautiful view (a westward one too that won't turn your unit into a greenhouse in August), then I'd consider it.

BuildThemTaller Aug 18, 2022 2:06 PM

I take it to mean that the realtor is suggesting WPE is overpriced. Also, that is a hell of a deal for that view in a brand new building.

A 2-bedroom with comparable views is going for ~$4400, which is a steal relative to Chicago's peers.
