^^ that one is looking much better than the latest proposals I've seen.
Where is this one planned in LD ? |
in the big skyscraper canyon, so Boulevard Circulaire part west, Courbevoie near CBX tower (now Dexia) and Coeur Defense
n°4 of "projets non reveles" (Orange) in this map http://ladefense.nuxit.net/photos/my...etsldmetro.jpg |
Are the twins of PB22 approved yet ?
|
Nope.
|
On the map above :
- in green are buildings currently under construction - in blue are revealed projects, those which have been announced with renderings. - in orange are unrevealed projects, those which are rumoured but haven't been announced yet. The Tour Carpe Diem (orange n°4) has just been announced today. So it should be updated as "blue" on the map. Here's the rendering of the building : http://www.ramsa.com/files/news_imag...20Defense1.jpg |
Source : Businessimmo, janvier 2008 In clear, for english and even french speaker. Tour CB31 (275m) is approved. :) http://www.defense-92.fr/photos/ph3227.jpg http://www.defense-92.fr/photos/ph3228.jpg |
^ Good news.
|
^If that's correct - and it's a big IF - that'll be the best project in LD since the renovation of AXA.
IMO of course. |
A bigger rendering of Carpe Diem tower. (166 m)

^That's the spirit ! Unfortunately, this project will join the numerous visions that would have made LD a great business district and always failed to materialize. |
Many people (include me) think the oposite about this vision. :)

Renovation Gan Tower(CB31) 275m

That is a kind of raping the landmark of LD :(
|
When I first saw the exterior rendering of Tour Carpe Diem, I thought it would be a nice tower.... but now that I see those renderings of the roof, base, and interior, I am in awe! Are they sure Robert AM Stern designed that? ;)
As for GAN, considering it still looks great after three decades and being a 70s design, it really seems to me that it is a quality and timeless design now. The new plan looks good but not worth it in place of a classic tower like GAN. |

found this on the Seine Arche website: click upon 'vers l'Arche'
next to the cimetery there is a tower to be seen, which one is this? |

Foster's tower should have a real height - say, 420 m - otherwise it's another timid gesture.

Who would like to have an apartment in Wilmotte's tower ? The structure seems unsound.

Another project by DGLA (440m)

:previous: LA Defense is coming too futuristic. All those upper projects are wonderful. I like most the Wilmotte, Libeskind... even the Foster & others seems not very avangarde, but also good.. :) Difficult is cleaning all those unsquared claddings :D only raining could do.
