yeah I recall, but they broke ground well before that. I know there were pics of them doing a lot of stabilization of adjoining properties in the past. I guess those site conditions + the graves really have slowed things down big time. Just surprised it's taking so much for a relatively modest building in terms of size and height.

i walk by the site on arch daily and the cemetery excavation slowed the process a couple of days max. it seemed like they needed to do a lot of work around the edges before going down based on how fast things have been moving.

The South of South Neighborhood Association, on the other hand, had nothing but kind things to say about the developer. Although the site does not require a variance, the developers still met with SOSNA five times and the near neighbors four times.

The board evidently agreed, concluding the process, although not before noting that the multi-family building’s entry, with jaunty blue awnings, should be reconsidered.

Seems like it could be good. And Greenberger is dead-on re Wawa. It's fine and good. But it's overexpansion into Philly is starting to get a little annoying. I hope they get something a little more sophisticated here but sounds like Wawa may already be in the works.

Yes, there are at least 3 significant residential buildings that are 3-4 stories that have been built just south of LaSalle in the last year or two including a large one on Wister Street.

I'm pretty sure those are all student housing. That's up in my area. Germantown as a whole still has a ways to go however.
