We've seen the latest renderings of Related's planned mixed-use tower at 11th Avenue and 33rd Street in models and brochures.
Speculation puts the height at somewhere close to 1,000 ft. Here's the first rendering I've seen of the tower alone:

Great looking building. Hopefully breaks the 1000 foot mark.

This whole development is the real deal.

sharp looking tower. It seems 1,000 feet is the new 750 feet.

From what I can tell, doesn't look to be very pedestrian friendly. You would think that would be important in NYC.

How so? It seems with the pedestrian boulevard, which is the second render in NYGuys second post, the North Lawn, Plaza, and High Line integration, this will be very pedestrian friendly. Do you mean like there's almost too much space physical space between the towers?

The real excitement here is how transformed that area will be when all is said and done - these towers are a bonus.

This development doesn't represent classic NYC urban form in many ways, but it will be very beautiful, integrated, unique and certainly pedestrian friendly. The renderings of the area as a whole tell us that much. No other city in the world will have a place like the Hudson Yards!

If all these get built, the west side will be a new focal point in the manhattan skyline. I like this design, except in the visual house renderings, the only part i dont like is the bottom of the tower, it doesn't really seem to match it at all.

The entire Hudson Yards area is actually designed to be extra pedestrian friendly.



Very nice. It's ironic how all of these west side towers we have seen the last few years are shown in renderings alone, but in reality that will be far from the case. Still, you can see that it's an impressive tower in it's own right standing alone.




I think the office portion of the tower is meant to stand out. But overall, the bottom of the tower (opposite side) matches the top. It will be interesting to see how the design is refined.

Definitely was not expecting something so sleek, as we have seen today!

It looks very good. It would be a new design in the city...

More looks at the bottom floors, which includes 3 levels of retail. I'm sure we will get better renderings eventually.

SLEEK! Hudson Yards is so exciting, I can't wait to start seeing all these towers go up! Perfect height for that location.

The bottom part confuses me, but I'll just wait for more renderings before I pass judgement :)

Most of The other residential towers will have interesting, oval shapes too and will probably be quite tall.

Wow very nice design! You guy's in NYC really have it made with all these great projects you keep getting. Reminds me of Museum Tower in Dallas a bit, just way bigger and better.

I'm starting to like this tower a lot. I hope they don't change it too much. A complete rendering with the other 3 towers of the first phase would be cool.
It's slightly turned away from the river, probably situated to get the best views, and the best part seems to be facing inwards.

Yea i really like this tower, but i hope they can implement a way to show theres an office there yet keep a flowing design at the bottom.

Is it just me or does this tower remind you of a londonish building, i feel like it would fit in perfectly there, very curvy and glassy.

I'm sure they could do it better, but I believe that lower portion is also meant to keep the tower intact with the street grid. You don't really need it on the other sides.

I'm glad it is not another box. Very Asian looking IMO.

This is likely the tower reportedly being designed by David Childs.

I wonder how much the design will be altered, but I'm not concerned since Childs is in charge.

This one also needs to be added to the New York diagram, it doesn't even show up as a blank on it and I can't seem to find it on the development map either.

Looks like this could be jumpstarted next year...

I think David Childs has altered his design since that early rendering, possibly giving an extra setback on the tower side. It's also been bulked up a bit. It will likely be taller than One57.

As long as the heights don't drop any further, I'm satisfied.

The also refer to the tallest tower as "1300" when it's actually 1337, so maybe they're wrong about the 950 figure... who knows.

They probably rounded them to the nearest 50 feet.

^ A little Miami-ish, but I like it. Just a few years ago, this one tower alone would have us salivating. It's almost too much to take in at once.

As a member, I hope I get access to that Equinox and it doesn't end up being like e at the Time Warner Center. This building is stunning.

Yeah, we are so spoiled right now. But who can blame us? With so many supertalls on the rise it's getting hard to appreciate the non - supertalls, crazy.
