With the combination of the disposable camera and the empty streets, you've cultivated quite the post-apocalyptic look! There is something compelling about these shots - it would be great to see this style used on the centre of a really well known city, on a quiet weekend. Very scary.
Looks like there are some handsome Victorian buildings in your town - what's it like living there? |
Yeah, great shots, they look really creepy.
|
Where does a name like "Barrow in Furness" come from? How did it get that name?
|
Late response But I have some new pictures!
@ Bedhead: It's an okay place I get. Its not got many impressive Victorian places, well not least on a ratio compared to boring old brick ones. @ matt: I have no idea. I took these all from the Cemetery with my shiny new digital from christmas! A view of Blackcombe. http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/5131/dscf0001w.jpg http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/706/dscf0002v.jpg St James Church http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/9521/dscf0003ca.jpg Building at entrance to the Cemetery http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/6338/dscf0004ad.jpg The football stadiums lights taken from the cemetery http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/8930/dscf0005nc.jpg |
You have a knack for creating some ethereal images, both with the disposable and with the shiny new digital. They're intriguing to look at.
|
I like, but really stupid question: Where is this place located?
|
@robert: The disposable days are over just so you know. Thanks.
@ Native: Barrow is in Cumbria,England. |
