Here are the county results:

Madison County 37,864 37,536 There were no changes in the top 10 from last year. Ada County surpassed 400,000 in population! Canyon County should have over 200,000 people by 2014 and Kootenai County should have 150,000 people by 2015. Metro/micro areas: 1. Boise-Nampa metro 627,664 2. Coeur d'Alene metro 141,132 3. It looks like the recession never really affected Idaho's growth other than slowing it down a bit. I am getting used to the slow pace of growth but I would have no problem going back to the pre recession growth either.

Other than that there were no changes in rankings in the largest counties. If current rates continue, Ada County will have 450,000 people by 2018, Canyon County will have 200,000 people by 2015, Kootenai County will have 150,000 people by 2018, and Bonneville County will have 110,000 people by 2016. For Metro & Micro Areas, Sandpoint was finally named a Micro Area this year and has 40,476 in its Micro Area. |

sure seems like Boise's population growth has slowed dramatically over the last 15 years. I wonder if that's because most of the growth has been in the suburbs, or if there's not much room left within the Boise city limits, but the amount of construction in the city (especially Harris Ranch and downtown) seems to suggest that Boise is still growing.
